Is It Okay to Be Depressed, Just for Today

Fog Dripping

Photo credit: Jason Williard (1983-2016); one who succombed to the darkness

The fog has descended
deep darkness
overrides my soul
the spark is missing
the daydreams
no longer hold any light
goals and plans
seem empty
meaningless
breath is shallow
movement limited
I am fortunate
I know tomorrow
or the next day
the fog will lift
and be gone
I am not one
to be cursed
with neverending
darkness
Today
I succumb
let it drift over me
and just be
like an empty planet
floating aimlessly
no agenda
no destination
Tomorrow
is another day
