Surrounded by spring’s beauty
Such vibrant colors -
the spring green of the willow
the clear blue sky
with bits of wispy clouds
the white daytime half-moon
The song sparrow’s
beautiful sonnet
I love the song sparrows
somewhat gray and drab coat
is such an amazing contrast
to their beautiful song
The warmth of the spring day
as the sun beams its life
into my aching bones
In the midst of this
glorious beauty
the way forward
begins to shine
a little glimmering light
into my consciousness
Perhaps,
I can find a way
out of the darkness,
out of the pain that binds me
into a world
of freedom
of beautiful colors
of warmth
and a song
of love.
